  • Remifemin, a black cohosh extract, is the most widely used natural alternative to hormone replacement therapy. Studies have shown it decreases menopausal symptoms, and is more effective than placebo, hormones and/or diazepam (Valium) drugs.
  • Phytoestrogens are naturally occurring plant compounds. They can help reduce estrogen levels in aging men, as well as treat women experiencing perimenopause or menopause. Phytoestrogens are commonly found in foods such as beans, seeds and grains.
