MIND/BODY MEDICINE: TRAINING WITH DR. DANA BARTON, N.D. Comments
This is the first of six intensive weekend trainings and will introduce you to a practical and effective integrated approach to Mind/Body therapy that is grounded in Naturopathic Medicine; Integrative Body Psychotherapy; Gestalt; Buddhist Psychology and Interpersonal Neurobiology. Although I would encourage commitment to the ongoing training, each weekend will stand alone as well as offer the opportunity to expand/increase knowledge and skills overall and in the particular area focused on.
The trainings are open to ND's and ND students who are interested in learning to skillfully apply the principles of Mind/Body Medicine in a therapeutic setting. Each weekend will be an in-depth, multi-level experience that includes relevant theory as well as experiential exercises, demonstrations and supervised opportunities for skills practice.
Whatever your current level of experience or familiarity with these models, you will have an opportunity to experience/learn a very powerful, supportive healing tool that works with the vital force; and to expand your capacity to identify and work with the root causes of many health concerns. Conditions that I have found this therapy very effective for include: Stress; Anxiety/Depression; Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia; PTSD; IBS; Hypertension and Insomnia.
My partner, Maecan Campbell, will assist in some of the trainings. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who has been in private practice for over 25 years. She teaches at Vancouver College of Counsellor Training, facilitates group trainings in Gestalt Therapy and supervises the work of other psychotherapists. We have shared our clinic for 20 years.
