Dr. Cindy Quach BSc. ND earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University prior to graduating from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she earned the Naturopathic Doctor (ND) designation. She is the Clinical Director at Avisio Naturopathic Clinic in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

Dr. Quach has advanced training in Facial Rejuvenation, a non-surgical technique that erases the signs of aging from the face using acupuncture. She also has advanced training in mind/body medicine using NeuroEmotional Technique (NET), a procedure that addresses the emotional link to physical ailments.

Prior to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Quach worked as a Chemist in pharmaceutical research and thus has a very strong scientific background in evidence based medicine. Dr. Quach has a busy family practice with special interests in digestive health, menopause, and hormonal disorders. She regularly hosts community talks and seminars, and holds teaching positions in and around the city of Surrey, BC.

In the spring of 2010, the government of British Columbia was the first and only province in Canada that has granted authority to prescribe prescription drugs to Naturopathic Doctors. Dr. Cindy Quach underwent an intense pharmaceutical course taught by instructors from the University of British Columbia, School of Pharmacy who happen to also be the same instructors that teach the Family Doctors (GPs) in BC.

In July 2010, Dr. Quach was one of the first 174 Naturopathic Doctors in Canada that passed the pharmaceutical exam on their first attempt. Starting September 7th 2010, Dr. Cindy Quach earned the authority to prescribe pharmaceuticals.



NOTES:
ND:   Naturopathic Doctor (in BC, in order to practice as an ND, the doctor must have completed at least 3-years pre-medical training-most doctors complete a bachelor's degree, 4-years full-time medical training at an accredited naturopathic medical college, and the completion of provincial board exams prior to being granted licencure. NDs in BC are licenced and regulated by the College of Naturopathic Physicians.)
DC:   Doctor of Chiropractic. Indicates this naturopathic doctor previously achieved a recognized degree to practice as a chiropractor.
DHANP:   Diplomate in the Homeopathic Association of Naturopathic Physicians. An additional degree focused on classical homeopathy.
MSAOM:   Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. An additional degree focused on Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM.
RM:   Registered Midwife. Indicates that this naturopathic doctor holds a valid licence as a midwife in BC.
