Dr. Shortt has a general family practice and therefore treats most conditions that people may approach their family medical doctor about.  She does have a special interest in the health of women and children and has focused a considerable amount of additional training in these areas.  Dr. Shortt is also trained as a Doula, a Bowen Therapist, and she is certified by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia to perform acupuncture and IV therapies.  She is a member of Vernon Women in Business and the mother of two amazing little boys.
