Dr. de Melo is a graduate of The University of Toronto and The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Jaime's practice is a general family practice with special interest in Respiratory, Musculoskeletal and Digestive Health. Following a comprehensive assessment Dr. de Melo works with his patients to identify the key factors that are affecting all areas of their health. Treatments focus on alleviating causative factors and may involve one or more of the Naturopathic modalities:
- Clinical Nutrition and Supplementation
- Botanical Medicine
- Physical Medicine
Treatment always involves education and motivation.
Education is a large part of Jaime’s practice as he enjoys teaching patients about their health and treatments. His love for education has lead him to currently hold faculty positions at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, both in Victoria.
His published research is in the area of botanical medicine with a focus on safety and efficacy.
Jaime holds professional memberships with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the British Columbia Naturopathic Association and the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia.
