Dr. Barlow graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC, in June, 2009. BINM is the only Naturopathic Medical School in Western Canada and is well known for it's cutting edge curriculum, intimate class sizes, and strength in physical medicine techniques.
Dr. Barlow focused on physical medicine, pain management, athletic performance, and functional medicine as areas of special interest during naturopathic medical school. He did extra training and courses in prolotherapy, neural therapy, Bowen therapy, IV therapies, and chelation therapy in order to provide the best level of care to patients who could benefit from these treatments.
Dr. Barlow completed a nine month externship program with Dr. Albert Kim, ND, one of the leaders in the naturopathic community with prolotherapy and pain management medicine. He learned to identify and treat the many causes of pain including allergies, stress, fatigue, IBS, insomnia, weight gain, depression, inflammation, atherosclerosis, whiplash, and sports injuries.
In 2007, Dr. Barlow co-founded an internet radio program called Naturopathic Radio. This is a weekly radio program that focuses on the latest news and information about natural medicine, health, and wellness. Dr. Barlow has been the host of the show since its inception and is actively expanding the Naturopathic Radio Network to include more programming from the other naturopathic medical schools and doctors.
