Dr. Sarah Sjovold grew up in the beautiful town of Hope, B.C. She received a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology (B.Sc.) from the University of British Columbia in 1998. Having grown up in a family that has always embraced alternative forms of healing, Dr. Sjovold decided to pursue her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. During her clinical training she had the opportunity to work with patients with HIV at the Sherbourne Health Clinic in Toronto, an experience that taught her how conventional and alternative medicine can truly compliment one another. After graduation, Dr. Sjovold returned to her home town and set up a small practice. In 2008, she relocated and joined the Family Health Clinic in Langley, B.C. Dr. Sjovold strongly believes that Naturopathic Medicine should be an integral part of any healthcare plan. Having experienced chronic illness herself she has gained a deeper understanding of the art of healing. It is therefore her aim, as a doctor, to assist her patients in attaining better health and well being.
