Dr. Sjovold has a special interest in treating women’s and children's health conditions. Dr. Sjovold strongly believes that Naturopathic Medicine should be an integral part of any healthcare plan. Having grown up in a family that has always embraced alternative forms of healing, and having experienced a chronic illness herself, Dr. Sjovold not only has a passion for assisting others in attaining better health and well being, but a deep appreciation for the art of healing.

Testing:

Conventional medical assessments use blood work and diagnostic imaging to diagnose and monitor illness. However, in many cases a patient will present with physical complaints that are not diagnosable through the above methods. Dr. Sjovold uses a wide range of non-invasive diagnostic tests or tools which analyze blood, hair, urine, saliva, or stool samples. These tests provide unique information about food and environmental allergens, hormones, neurotransmitters, nutritional factors, heavy metals and other toxic substances. It is these tests that often help to identify the imbalances underlying a patient’s physical complaints. Please view Dr. Sjovold's website at www.drsjovold.com and click Services on the menu bar, then Comprehensive Diagnostic on the side menu bar for more information about testing.

Therapies:

The therapies employed by Dr. Sjovold include: acupuncture, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, lifestyle counseling, physical medicine, intravenous therapies (vitamin mineral therapy, chelation) and prescription pharmaceuticals.
