Dr. Sjovold has a general family medical practice where she integrates both alternative and conventional medicine to provide safe, effective, natural healthcare to patients of all ages.  Her special interest areas are allergies and/or sensitivities, digestive complaints and conditions,neurotransmitter and hormone imbalances.  From balancing neurotransmitters and hormones in order to restore healthy sleep patterns and overall mood and energy; to optimizing digestion and improving nutrition through dietary changes and supplementation; to promoting healthy detoxification using a variety of natural therapies; to teaching stress management tools, Dr Sjovold’s overall goal is to help her patients achieve and maintain their own unique level of optimal health.

Professional Background

Dr. Sarah Sjovold completed her training in 2004 at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (B.Sc.) from the University of British Columbia in 1998.  She is an active member of the Gastroenterology Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Endocrinology Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC, the BC Naturopathic Association, and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.  She is certified by the College Board in Acupuncture, Chelation Therapy and Prescriptive authority.
