Dr Natalie Groenewoud has always had an enriched curiosity in the foundation of health. As an avid athlete she received a soccer scholarship to the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she played NCAA Div I soccer and studied Biology and Botany. It was on these diverse and exquisite Hawaiian Islands that her inquisitiveness of health blossomed, she studied the human body as well as challenged her own body by playing soccer, surfing, outrigger paddling, and marathon running. After graduating from the University of Hawaii she continued her soccer career by traveling overseas to play in Holland and again when she returned home for the Vancouver Whitecaps.

In 2006 she decided it was time to change her area of focus from being an athlete to her equal passion of Naturopathic Medicine Dr. Groenewoud received her Naturopathic medical training in Vancouver at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM); it was in this 4 year program that her great interest for health and wellness was finally starting to be quenched. Being a student in the presence of so many well-established Naturopathic doctors allowed her to earn the insights on how doctors can look at the dysfunction in an individual’s physiology and search to find and treat the cause instead of treating symptomatically.

In Dr. Groenewoud’s senior year she had the honor of preceptoring with Dr. Jonn Matsen. It was here that Dr. Groenewoud connected with the Eating Alive Program, and found that it put all the missing pieces of Naturopathic Medicine together for her. With Dr. Matsen's philosophy of treating an individuals weakest organs systems so that the body can move toward an equilibrium and innately heal itself, just makes sense! The body in balance is truly an amazing entity and it is here that patients can find their greatest state of health.

Dr. Natalie Groenewoud is now practicing as a primary care Naturopathic Physician. In conjunction with Dr. Matsens Eating Alive Program Dr. Groenewoud also includes the following modalities in her treatments:

• Naturopathic Skeletal Manipulations

• Traditional Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture

• Bowen Therapy

• Neural Injection Therapy

• Intra-Venous Vitamin Therapies

• Chelation Therapy

• Homeopathic injections

• Doula labour care

• Guna facial rejuvenation injections

• State of the art laboratory testing

• Male and female physical exams along with baby wellness exams.

Dr. Natalie Groenewoud is a licensed naturopathic physician in good standing with both the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC (CNPBC) and British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA); She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Physicians (CAND), the Bowen College and International Society of Chelation Technicians Dr. Natalie Groenewoud is currently accepting new patients
