Dr. Alison Vandekerkhove earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of British Columbia and went on to study as a pioneer student at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine where she continues to be a resident supervisor. Dr. Vandekerkhove, known by patients as Dr. Alison, treats a wide array of health concerns from infant and children’s health to seniors’ concerns. She is particularly interested in treating arthritis, digestive health (IBS, acid reflux, colitis, and constipation), hormonal imbalances (PMS, infertility, thyroid disease, menopause, endometriosis, fibrocystic breast disease, uterine fibroids and PCOS), anxiety, cardiovascular health (including high cholesterol and hypertension), allergies, weight loss, and skin conditions. Both children and parents welcome a trip to the doctor when Dr. Alison is in the office, as she makes visits fun and informative. At A New Leaf Naturopathic Clinic, patients enjoy the convenience of in-house laboratory testing. Some of the tests offered include food sensitivity tests, hormone tests among others, and cardiovascular risk profiles. She also employs acupuncture, mesotherapy and chelation therapy. Dr. Alison prioritizes working together with patients to adapt treatments to each patient’s unique lifestyle choices.
