Motivated by her lifelong interest in health, Dr. Natalie MacIsaac (née van Veelen) obtained a B.Sc in Food, Nutrition and Health from UBC and an ND from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, British Columbia. She has additional training in bioidentical hormone therapy, pharmaceutical interactions, saliva and blood hormone testing, fertility, menopause, IV vitamin therapy, neural therapy (pain management), and allergy testing.

In her practice, as in life, she values communication and listening skills to gain a thorough evaluation of her patients physical and emotional states.  Dr. MacIsaac integrates clinical nutrition, bioidentical hormones, acupuncture, herbal medicine, IV vitamin therapy, and nutritional and lifestyle counseling into her care.

Fertility - infertility, miscarriage, irregular cycles, PCOS, low sperm count, history of ectopic pregnancy, vaginal dryness, and birth control.

Menopause - hot flashes, night sweats, low energy, waking every morning at 3 am, insomnia, low libido, vaginal dryness, depression, anxiety, abdominal weight gain, sugar cravings, foggy head, memory changes, osteoporosis, palpitations, urinary incontinence, vaginal dryness, premature aging, skin and hair changes.

In line with the deeply rooted principles of naturopathic medicine, Dr. MacIsaac’s approach to patient care is focused on the mind-body connection and the importance of treating the whole person as opposed to merely treating the disease. An initial consultations with Dr. MacIsaac will include a detailed look at your health history and background while exploring your current health concerns and will end in a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Treatment will be recommended on a case-by-case basis, and may include physical examination, lab testing, supplementation, dietary advise, IV therapy, acupuncture, and lifestyle changes.    

Full lab services are available including hormone testing, food allergy testing, digestive and stool analysis, yearly physical exams, Pap smears, urinalysis, and heavy metal testing. Dr. MacIsaac is in good standing with the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA), the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and licensed by the CNPBC.
