Dr. Tanya has a general practice with a mental health focus at Eastpoint Natural Health Clinic, located on Commercial Drive in Vancouver, BC. Offering acupuncture, IV and injection therapy, and comprehensive health care in a creative setting, Dr. Tanya is interested in helping you overcome whatever is in the way of you living the healthiest, most amazing life you can live. Dr. Tanya is currently accepting new patients, and welcomes people of all ethnicities, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. Direct billing is available for folks with extended healthcare plans.


Mental Health 

Dr. Tanya has a special interest in helping people who are dealing with mental health issues. She has experience working with anxiety disorders, addiction, ADHD, depressive disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorders, and other mental health concerns. Patients often come to Dr. Tanya looking for a framework to help them understand their diagnosis or their mental health syptoms; some people are seeking to avoid medications, others are looking to get off of them, and others still are looking for a responsible way to use medications to manage their concerns. No matter where you are in the process of self-discovery, naturopathic medicine can help support you along the way and Dr. Tanya would love to be a part of your journey.

Dr. Tanya likes to apply addiction theory to all aspects of health, and believes that every chronic illness can have a deeper meaning that can help you understand yourself and the world around yo uin a more profound way. Autoimmune diseases, chronic pain, women's health, digestive function, fatigue, and skin conditions can all be treated with naturopathic medicine, and delving into the mental/emotional themes that correspond to your conditions can provide not only symptom relief but true healing. 

About Dr. Tanya

Dr. Tanya Maté is licensed to practice by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia, and is a member of the BCNA and CAND. Dr. Tanya completed her BSc (Hons.) in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology, and worked in biology research for several years before pursuing the call of Naturopathic Medicine. She graduated from the Boucher Institute in 2014, and is board certified in acupuncture and prescriptive authority. In her spare time, you can find Dr. Tanya at a local coffee shop or on retreat pursuing a greater understanding of health, ethnobotany, and spirituality.
